Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999 for 90-year-old Alfred Edwin Koenig of Farrar who died today (Wednesday) at his residence in Frankfort, Kentucky.

He was born on May 30, 1909 in Farrar, Mo., the son of the late Ernst and Magdelena (Roth) Koenig.

He was married to Augusta Martha Popp. She preceded him in death.

Two children survive:

Paul and Gerry Koenig of Farrar, Mo.; and Luella and George Franke of Frankfort, Kentucky.

Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Esther Luehrs, one brother, and five sisters.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and Salem Men’s Club of Farrar.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar. Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.

Memorial preference is to the Salem Lutheran Multi-purpose building.
