Esther Eva Leonard

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 for 94-year-old Esther Eva Leonard of Herculaneum, formerly of Perryville, who died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999.

She was born on June 10, 1905 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Thomas I. and Alice F. (Deck) Blaylock.

He was married to William N. Leonard. He preceded her in death.

Children surviving are Alta Chapman of Crystal City; Jack W. Leonard of St. Louis; and Clyde E. Leonard of Lake of the Ozarks.

Eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great great grandchildren also survive.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City; a former member of Whitewater Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church in Perryville.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9 am – 1 p.m. at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Young and Sons. Rev. Dick Carter will officiate. Burial in Whitewater Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Memorial preference is to the American Cancer Society.
