Harry G. Hoffstetter A funeral was scheduled to be held Monday, July 26, 1999 for 81-year-old Harry G. Hoffstetter of St. Louis who died Friday, June 23, 1999 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood. He was born January 15th, 1918 in Perry County, the son of Theodore and Catherine (Ochs) Hoffstetter, who preceded in death. He married Ella G. Boland on August 3rd, 1944. She survives in St. Louis. One son, the Rev. Gary Hoffstetter, survives in Moberly and one daughter, Janet Gay Thomas, survives in Edwardsville, Illinois. One brother, Gustave Hoffstetter, survives in Perryville. Three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren also survive. An infant child, four brothers and one sister also preceded in death. He was employed in civil service at the U.S. Materiel Command. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in LeMay, an Army veteran of World War II, former member of American Legion Post 13 and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. A funeral for 81-year-old Harry G. Hoffstetter of St. Louis was scheduled to be held Monday, July 26th, 1999 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville. Burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Church cemetery. The Rev. Edward Melchior was expected to officiate. Memorials are preferred to the Peace Lutheran Church in LeMay. |
