She was born January 12th, 1910 in Perry County, the daughter of Amsirah Hoffman and Louella Eddleman Hoffman who both preceded in death.

She married Herman A. Brickhaus on November 5th, 1938. He preceded in death.

She is survived by two daughters: Doris Brickhaus and Susanne Clifton, both of Perryville.

Four sons also survive: Richard Brickhaus of the state of Texas, Larry Brickhaus of Wentzville and Wayne Brickhaus and Merlin Brickhaus, both of Perryville.

She is also survived by one brother: Nelson Hoffman of Perryville.

Two sisters also survive: Leoda Buchheit of Biehle and Anita Ryan of Cincinnatti, Ohio.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

One brother, two sisters and two grandchildren also preceded in death.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality in Perryville.

Visitation Monday from 4-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 6:30-9:45 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 89-year-old Iona V. Brickhaus of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
