Elda R. Burroughs

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 31st for 82-year-old Elda R. Burroughs of Perryville who died Sunday.

She was born July 27th, 1916 in New Wells, the daughter of Ernst Perr and Ester Hoffman Perr who both preceded in death.

She married Albert Charles Burroughs on September 15, 1935. He preceded in death.

She is survived by five sons: Gerald Burroughs of St. Mary; Jerry Burroughs and Kenneth Burroughs, both of Altenburg; Ed Burroughs of Jackson and Ilmer Burroughs of Frohna.

One sister also survives: Edna Kutscher of Cape Girardeau.

She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, a brother and a sister.

She was a homemaker and member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville and a former member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

Visitation Tuesday from 4:30-8:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral service for 82-year-old Elda R. Burroughs of Perryville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. Burial in the church cemetery. The Reverend Craig Otto will officiate.
