Carl E. "Tooter" Franklin A funeral will be held Tuesday, November 2nd for 81-year-old Carl E. "Tooter" Franklin of Perryville who did Sunday at the Perry County Nursing Home. He was born October 14th, 1918 in Perry County, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Cissell) Franklin who preceded in death. He married Elda Schott on December 28th, 1946. She survives in Perryville. He is also survived by a son: Gary, and his wife Wendy, Franklin of St. Louis. Four daughters survive: Sandra Hudson of Imperial; Sharon, Mrs. Russell Schindler of Arnold; Dianne, Mrs. John Balsman of Barnhart; and Donna, Mrs. Rick Schremp of Perryville. He is also survived by a brother: Ira Franklin of St. Mary and a sister: Mamie Brewer of Brewer. 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive him. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death. He was a veteran of World War II and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Visitation this afternoon and evening from 4-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 6:30-10:45 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 6 this evening at the funeral home. A funeral for 81-year-old Carl E. "Tooter" Franklin of Perryville will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz C.M. will officiate. Memorials are preferred to the St. Vincent de Paul Schools. |
