A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 11th for 83-year-old Catherine C. Besand of Perryville who died Saturday at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 15th, 1916 in Biehle, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth (Wirth) Clements who both preceded in death.

She married Conway Besand on July 22d, 1943. He preceded in death.

She is survived by one daughter: Deloris, Mrs. Gerald Ellerbeck of St. Louis and by one son: Delmar Besand, and his wife Jane, of Perryville.

Three brothers survive: Wilbert Clements and Kelly Clements, both of Biehle and Oscar Clements of Perryville.

One sister survives: May Probst.

Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

She worked at the International Shoe Factory and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and the Ladies Sodality.

Visitation will be this (Monday, April 10th) afternoon and evening from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 11th, from 6:30-8:35 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 6 this (Monday, April 10th) evening at the funeral home.

A funeral for 83-year-old Catherine C. Besand of Perryville will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 11th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate.

Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent School.
