Ray M. Davis

A funeral will be held Wednesday, April 12th for 88-year-old Ray M. Davis of Perryville who died today, Sunday, April 9th, at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

He was born September 10th, 1911 in Shaw, the son of Murry and Mary (Leible) Davis who preceded in death.

He married Myrtle Heinbokel on September 23rd, 1933. She preceded in death.

He is survived by two sons: Jerry Davis, and his wife Sandy of Perryville and Jimmie Davis and his wife Carol of Boca Raton, Florida.

One brother also survives him: Howard Davis of Perryville.

Three sisters also preceded him in death.

He was the manager of Davis Supply and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, Perryville Chamber of Commerce, Mississippi Valley Farm Equipment Dealer Association and American Legion Booster Post 133.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11th from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 12th from 6:30-9:20 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11th at the funeral home.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, April 12th at 10 a.m. for 88-year-old Ray M. Davis of Perryville at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, Illinois. The Rev. Francis Agnew CM will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Our Lady of Victory Church Building Fund, Perry County Nursing Home Tree Fund or American Cancer Association.
