Eileen H. Bishop Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2000 for 76-year-old Eileen H. Bishop of Perryville who died Aug. 2, 2000 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born on November 14, 1923 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Andrew Hendrix, and Hester (Edmond) Hendrix who survives in Silver Lake, Mo. She was married to John E. Bishop. He preceded her in death. Two sons survive, Ronald E. Bishop of St. Charles, and Lindell L. Bishop of St. James. The following brothers and sisters survive: Glennon Hendrix of Maine; Raymond Hendrix of Port Perry; Janice Worley of Wappapello; Ravin Don Hendrix of Perryville; Judy Pitman of Perryville; Faye Norman of Maryland; and Reta Carol Phillips of Lebanon, Ill. Seven grandchildren and four great-granddaughters also survive. One brother, Clyde, and one sister, Viola Lukefahr, preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, August 4 from 5-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:30-11:00 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service for Eileen H. Bishop will be Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000 at 11 a.m. at Young and Sons Chapel. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery in Perry County. Memorial preference is to the American Cancer Society or Crossroads Cemetery Fund. |
