Mildred F. Carney

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000 for 87-year-old Mildred F. Carney who died Sunday, Dec. 3 at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born on March 14, 1913 at Kaskaskia Island, Ill., the daughter of the late Francis J. and Winifred E. (Davis) Gendron.

She was married to Joseph H.. Lawrence. He preceded her in death.

She then married Gary a. Carney. He preceded her in death.

Children surviving are James Lawrence of St. Louis, and Norma L. Layton of St. Mary.

One brother, Joseph R. Gendron, survives in St. Ann.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded ind eath by one daughter, one sister and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Carney worked at Prince Gardner. She was a member of Christ the Savior Parish and the V.F.W. Aux.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish wake at 6 p.m. visitation will also be from 6:30-10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass for Mildred F. Carney will be held Thursday, Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the Savior Catholic in Brewer. Rev. Felipe Martinez will officiate. Burial in St. Marys Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Christ the Savior Parish or Charity of choice.
