Rose A. Bohnert Funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000 for 72-year-old Rose A. Bohnert of Perryville who died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000 at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born on April 22, 1927 at Belgique, Mo., the daughter of the late James H. and Mary Elnor (Belsha) Gibbar. She was married to James J. "Chink" Bohnert. He survives in Perryville. Children surviving are Gail Bohnert of Bahrain; Joyce, Mrs. Dave Soto, and Lois, Mrs. Patrick Prost, both of Perryville; Colyn, Mrs. Kevin Wibbenmeyer, of Sikeston; Tracy, Mrs. Thomas Prost, and Peggy, Mrs. Robert Welker, of Perryville; Penny, Mrs. Dale Schwent of Schamburg, IL; and Jaye, Mrs. Larry Mier, of West Bend, Wisconsin. Two sisters and one brother survive: Jeanette H. Brown of Perryville; Jane Franklin of St. Louis; and , and James H. Gibbar, Jr. of Perryville. Twenty-four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Four brothers, Jerome, Harold, Paul, and Harry Gibbar preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. There will be a wake service at 7 p.m. Friday, and rosary Saturday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass for Rose A. Bohnert will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial preference is to St. Vincent de Paul Schools.
