A private funeral service is being held for 76-year-old Charles G. Brown of Perryville who died Saturday, July 22nd at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

He was born September 7th, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Arthur Brown and Jeanatte Decoch Brown who both preceded in death.

He is survived by a daughter: Susan Vann of Moose Pass, Alaska; a son: Charles C. Brown of Deerfield, Florida; a sister: Margaret Shoback of Colorado Springs, Colorado and two brothers: Howard Brown and William Brown both of the state of Illinois.

Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

Three brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and had been employed by Brinks as an armored car driver for 20 years.

The Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville arranged the funeral.
