A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 20th, for 66-year-old Blaine Adelman Sr. of Longtown who died Thursday, June 15th, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 23rd, 1933 in the state of New Jersey, the son of John Adelman who preceded in death and Phyliss Fredericks Adelman Rup, who survives in Longtown.

He married Lois Simmerman on December 22nd, 1983. She survives in Perryville.

Three sons also survive him: Blaine Adelman of Perryville, John Adelman of Longtown and Allan Adelman of Ringwood, New Jersey.

Two brothers survive: Jack Adelman of Perryville and Fred Adelman of the state of New Jersey.

Two sisters survive: Lois Gonzales of the state of Pennsylvania and Sheila Robertson of the state of Florida.

Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

He was also preceded in death by one great grandson.

He was the owner and operator of the Starlight Tavern in Jackson and was a member of the American Legion and U.S. Coast Guard.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20th, from 9-10 a.m. at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.

A memorial service for 66-year-old Blaine Adelman Sr. of Longtown will be held Tuesday, June 20th at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, CM will officiate.
