Elsie Margaret Brewer A funeral will be held Saturday, May 12th for 98-year-old Elsie Margaret Brewer, formerly of Perryville, who died Wednesday, May 10th at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Creve Couer. She was born August 11th, 1901 in Perry County, the daughter of Gottlieb M. and Magdalena Margaretta (Dippold) Sandler, who preceded in death. She married Clarence Elmer Brewer on October 16th, 1924. He preceded in death. She is survived by two sons: Milton Brewer and his wife Lois of Kirkwood and James Brewer of Front Royal, Virginia. One daughter survives: Patsy, Mrs. Wallace Sommer of Florissant. Two brothers and two sisters in law survive: Leroy Sandler of Perryville, Melvin Sandler and his wife Hazel of St. Mary and Marie Sandler of Perryville. Nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren survive. Three step great grandchildren and three step great great grandchildren survive. Three brothers also preceded her in death. She was a housewife and member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Friday, May 12th from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, May 13th from 6:30-11:30 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A funeral for 98-year-old Elsie Margaret Brewer, formerly of Perryville, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 13th at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Rev. Craig Otto will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or to KFUO.
