Henry C. Fornkahl Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2000 for 92-year-old Henry C. Fornkahl of Perryville, who died May 18, 2000 at PerryOaks Healthcare Center. He was born on Dec. 21, 1907 in Cape Girardeau, the son of the late Henry and Agusta (Kisner) Fornkahl. He was married to Gertrude R. Hecht. She survives in Perryville. Surviving children are Gerald Fornkahl of St. Charles; and Gerlene, Mrs. Paul Webb, of Fenton. One son-in-law survives, Ray R. Schilling, of Scheller, Ill. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. One daughter, Virginia Schilling, and one half-sister, Emma Hecht, preceded him in death. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown, and was an organist for numerous Lutheran churches in Perry County. Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2000 from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 20, 2000 from 6:30-10 a.m. at Young and Sons Chapel. Funeral service for Henry C. Fornkah will be held Saturday, May 20, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Young and sons Chapel. Rev. Wayne Palmer will officiate. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Longtown. Memorial preference is to Zion Lutheran Church or Cemetery Fund or the The Lutheran Hour.
