Lawrence H. Finger A funeral will be held Monday, October 23rd, 2000 for 84-year-old Lawrence H. Finger of Perryville who died Friday, October 20th at the Perry County Nursing Home. He was born November 28th, 1915 in Denver, Iowa, the son of Hugo and Bertha (Hein) Finger who both preceded in death. He married Anna Clements on October 4th, 1947. She survives in Perryville. He is also survived his stepmother, Caroline (Grosse) Finger of East Grand Fork, Minnesota. One son and daughter in law also survive him, Roy and Louise Finger of Perryville and one daughter and son in law, Linda and Dwight Caldwell of St. Louis. Three brothers survive: Otto Finger of Casa Grande, Arkansas; Arlen Finger of Maquoketa, North Dakota and Norman Finger of Manchester, Iowa. One half-brother, Claiborne Finger of Larimore, North Dakota and two half-sisters, Vera Randall of Maquoketa, Iowa and Delores McFadd of Camden, Delaware, also survive him. Four grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. A sister, a brother and a grandson also preceded him in death. He was a pasteurizer at a cheese plant. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, an Army veteran of World War II, member of American Legion Post 133 and was retired from the National Guard. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 4-9 p.m. and Monday, from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A funeral for 84-year-old Lawrence H. Finger of Perryville will be held Monday, October 23rd at 2 p.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. |
