Grace K. Abernathy

A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 24th, 2001 for 95-year-old Grace K. Abernathy of Perryville who died Sunday, January 21st at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

She was born September 19th, 1905 in Duncan County, the daughter of Marion Killian and Minnie Hahn who both preceded in death.

She married "Bern" W. Abernathy on April 12th, 1929. He preceded in death.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters in law: Billy D. and Shirley Abernathy of Winfield and Tommy R. and Zilpha Abernathy of Perryville.

She is also survived by two sisters: Mattie Penzel of Jackson and Debbie Holmes of West Plains and one brother: Hubert Killian of Wentzville.

She is also survived by two half brothers and one half sister.

Two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren and seven step-great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 23rd and 6:30-10 a.m. Wednesday, January 24th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville.

A funeral for 95-year-old Grace K. Abernathy of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 24th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville. Burial will be in the Cape Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Trennis E. Killian will officiate.
