Hubert Blessing A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 24th, 2001 for 84-year-old Hubert Blessing of Perryville who died Saturday, January 20th at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville. He was born January 26th, 1916 in Perry County, the son of Joseph W. Blessing Sr. and Mary Louise Taylor Blessing who both preceded in death. He married LaVella Wingerter on October 4th, 1952 in Perryville. She survives in Perryville. He is also survived by five brothers, Chalmer and Joseph Jr. both of Perryville; Ben of Omaha, Nebraska; Conway of Affton; and Donald of Zalma. One sister survives: Irene Krieger of Jackson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. He was retired from McDonnell-Douglas, where he had been employed as an aircraft mechanic. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, was a third-degree Knight of Columbus, member of Holy Name Society, Perry County Senior Citizens Club and the Perry Promenaders. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 23rd and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Wednesday, January 24th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake with the Knights of Columbus will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A funeral for 84-year-old Hubert Blessing of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 24th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin M. Fausz, C.M. will officiate. Memorials may be made to masses or to the St. Vincent de Paul Endowment Fund.
