Eleanor Mary Franklin

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001 for 90-year-old Eleanor Mary Franklin of Perryville who died Monday, July 30 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Nov. 20, 1910 in Cape Girardeau County, the daughter of the late John E. and Louise (VanRotz) Rhyne.

She was married to Samuel J. Franklin on Oct. 3, 1927. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1965.

The following children survive: Donald Franklin, Wallace Franklin, Peggy Cissell, and Harold Franklin, all of Perryville; Renelda McClarney of Cape Girardeau; and Beverly Jannin of O’Fallon.

Half brothers and sisters are Glennon Rhyne of St. Louis; Vernon Rhyne of Perryville; LaVerne Clifton of Perryville; Darlene Noe of Cahokia, Ill.; Violet Derry of LaGrange, Ill.;Jeanette DeRousse of Herron, Ill.; Francis Engert of St. Louis; and Juanita Bova of Ste. Genevieve.

Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Jewell Carr, one son-in-law Richard McClarney, and two grandsons, Wayne Franklin and Terry Cissell.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 1 from 4-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 6:30-9:15 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Parish wake at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass for Eleanor Mary Franklin will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Silver Lake. Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial preference is to the American Heart Association or Masses.
