Katherine L. Bredall

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2001 for 88-year-old Katherine L. Bredall of St. Louis, formerly of Perryville, who died Thursday, May 28, at St. Lukes Hospital.

She was born on May 10, 1913 in Mt. Vernon, Ill., the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Mary (Rosenberger) Lacey.

Two daughters and one son-in-law survive, Julie Rovics of St. Louis; and Jeri and Dr. Marshall Cushman of Racine, Wis.

One sister and one brother survive, Mildred Lacey and Benton Lacey, both of Mt. Vernon, Ill.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Joel Cushman, Stephen Cushman and Dr. Susan Cushman, and two great grandchildren, Robert Joel Rovics and William Rovics.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Quentin Lacey, and one sister, Maxine Gerspacher.

She was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church in Perryville; Presbyterian Women's Association and School Nurse for Perryville High School for 13 years; Missouri State Nurse's Association; Southeast Missouri Nurse's Association; Perry County Nursing Home Board member; Perry County Memorial Hospital's Home Health Advisory Committee member; received certificate of achievement for 3806 hours of volunteer work with Perry County Memorial Hospital, Red Cross Blood Mobile and Blood Pressure Monitoring at Mercantile Bank; and graduate of Missouri Baptist Hospital School of Nursing (1933).

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Perryville.

Funeral service for Katherine L. Bredall will be held Saturday, June 9, 2001 at 11 a.m. at  First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Tom Bass will officiate. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Presbyterian Church in Perryville.
