We Live in Hearts We Leave Behind~Thomas Campbell

A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 7^th, 2001 for 69-year-old Fern Elvera Kassel of St. Charles, formerly of Frohna who died Monday, June 4, 2001 at her residence.

Among the survivors are her daughter, Phyllis E. Kassel of St. Charles; one brother and sister in law, Richard and Dorothy Koenig of Cape Girardeau; three sisters and two brothers in law, Mildred Mahnken of Frohna, Geraldine and the Rev. Donald Kirst of Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Jeanette and Marvin Poenitske of Nashville, Tennessee. 

Several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces also survive. 

Her husband, Raymond and a brother and sister preceded her in death.
She was a quilter and homemaker and a member of Concordia Ladies Aid, Concordia Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and the SEMO Chapter of the St. Paul's College Guild.  She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna before moving to St. Charles in May 1999.

Visitation will be from 3:30 - 8 pm Wednesday June 6 and from 9:30 am until the time of service Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 115 Sixth Street, St. Charles. 

A funeral service for Fern Elvera Kassel will be held Thursday June 7 at 11 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be at the church cemetery.
