Ray "Bogie" Bodenschatz Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2001 for 66-year-old Ray "Bogie" Bodenschatz of Perryville, who died Tuesday, June 12 at St. Lukes West Hospital in St. Louis County. He was born on November 24, 1934 in Belgique, Mo., the son of the late Fred W. and Lydia (Verseman) Bodenschatz. He was married to June A. Hagan on June 9, 1955. She survives in Perryville. Children surviving are Randy Bodenschatz of St. Charles; Tammy Richardet of Perryville; Rick Bodenschatz of Wildwood; Tina Hadler of Ellisville; and Roger Bodenschatz of Jefferson City. Brothers and sisters surviving are Leona Dollard of St. Louis; Cordelia "Dale" Darcy of Leslie; Viola Aronnson of St. Louis; Fred Bodenschatz Jr. of Perryville; and Robert Bodenschatz of House Springs. Eleven grandchildren also survive. One infant brother, Rochard, preceded him in death. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, retired from National Guard as SGM, Local 513 Hoisting Engineers Union, and American Legion Booster. He was a retired heavy equipment operator from Bloomsdale Excavating. Visitation will be Friday, June 15, from 3-9 p.m. and on Saturday, June 16 from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Funeral service for Ray "Bogie" Bodenschatz will be held Saturday, June 16, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial preference is the Veterans Home in Cape, Sunday Radio Broadcast or charity of your choice.
