Wilma Fernita Blunt

A funeral will be held Wednesday, June 20th, 2001 for 80-year-old Wilma Fernita Blunt of Perryville who died Saturday, June 16th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 18th, 1920 in Edwardsville, Illinois, the daughter of Arbie Nesbit and Minnie A. Kline Nesbit who both preceded her in death.

She married James C. "Clark" Blunt on September 23rd, 1954 in St. Louis. He survives in Perryville.

She is also survived by one daughter Vivian (Mrs. Joseph) Shea of Perryville, six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers.

She was a homemaker, who along with her husband, owned and operated Blunt's Groceries in Steeleville for several years before moving to Perryville.

She was a member of United Methodist Church, Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and The Quiltmakers Club. She also volunteered at the Regional Family Crisis Center in Perryville.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19th and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 20th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 80-year-old Wilma Fernita Blunt of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20th at the United Methodist Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. The Rev. Michael Kelpe will officiate.
