Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2001 for 95-year-old Frances B. Boxdorfer of Perryville and formerly of Chester, who died Sunday, March 18 at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born on April 12, 1905 in Perryville, the daughter of the late Francis Monroe and Sarah Elizabeth (Tucker) Bass.

She was married to John G. Boxdorfer in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1978.

She is survived by a niece, Gladys elder of Perryville and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Chester, Ill., and Womens Club of Chester.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 20 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Prayer service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass for Frances B. Boxdorfer will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Dennis Schaefer will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial preference is to the American Cancer Society.
