George J. Hotop A funeral will be held Monday, March 26th, 2001 for 66-year-old George J. Hotop of Perryville who died Friday, March 23rd at Perry Oaks Manor. He was born April 2nd, 1934 in McBride, the son of Anton Joseph and Louise (Pingel) Hotop who both preceded in death. He is survived by one brother and sister in law: Cletus and Rosa Lee Hotop of Perryville and two sisters and one brother in law: Leola Perry of Dallas, Texas and Irma Ann and John Parker of Springfield, Illinois. His guardian also survives him: Ginger LaRose of Perryville. He is also survived by 34 nieces and nephews. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death. He was employed by the Perry County Sheltered Workshop and is believed to have been the longest continuing employee at the workshop. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and was a participant in the Special Olympics. He was a resident of Perry Oaks Manor for 28 years since its opening in 1973. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, March 25th and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Monday, March 26th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A funeral for 66-year-old George J. Hotop of Perryville will be held Monday, March 26th at 10 a.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery in Biehle. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M. will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Southeast Missouri Hospice, the Special Olympics or to St. Jude's Hospital.
