Robert A. Green

Funeral service was Wednesday, May 16, 2001 for 77-year-old Robert A. Green of Perryville who died Sunday, May 13 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 9, 1923 in Sikeston, Mo., the son of the late Walker E. and Essie (Daniels) Green.

He was married to Glenda ‘Linday" Niswonger. She survives in Perryville.

The following children survive, Kevin Green of Dallas, Tex., Michael Green of St. Louis; Joyce Olinga of Chicago, Ill.; Trish Hendon of Banning Cal.; and Susan Hawkins of Poplar Bluff.

One brother, Walker "Gene" Green, of Reno Nev., and a sister, Nadine Barnett, of Dupo, Ill. Also survive.

Eight grandchildren and nine grandchildren survive.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine South.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion Post 133, U.S. Navy Veteran WWII, and Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.

Funeral service for Robert A. Green was held Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist church in Perryville. Rev. Dennis Cebulak officiated. Burial was in the Home Cemetery. American Legion Post 133 conducted military graveside services.

Young and Sons Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
