Edgar C. Geile A funeral will be held Thursday, November 15th, 2001 for 90-year-old Edgar C. Geile of Perryville, who died Monday, November 11th at Montclair Residential Care. He was born May 26th, 1911 in Perry County, the son of Joseph L. and Josephine (Doll) Geile, who both preceded him in death. He married Eleanor Proctor on December 28th, 1931. She preceded him in death. He married Juanita Rushing on September 3rd, 1968. She survives in Perryville. A son, Charles "Sonny" Geile of Perryville and a daughter, Shirley Mantovani of St. Charles, also survive him. Two stepsons survive: Kenneth Hall of Perryville and Howard Hall of Sedgewickville. One stepdaughter survives: Donna S. Renner of Perryville. One sister survives: Rita Shekelton of Hialeah, Florida. Eleven grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren, three great great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren also survive him. One daughter, Virginia Head; two sisters, Lillian Maddock and Florence Tucker; two brothers, Leo and William Geile and one granddaughter, Sharon Head, also preceded him in death. He was a Perry County Highway Department employee and farmer. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14th from 4-9 p.m. and Thursday, November 15th from 6:30-9:20 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 15th at the funeral home. A funeral mass for 90-year-old Edgar C. Geile of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 15th at St. Rose of Lima Church in Silver Lake. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Alphonse Hoernig will officiate. Memorials may be made to the church cemetery fund in Silver Lake.
