A funeral will be held Friday, November 23rd, 2001 for 89-year-old Edgar Joseph Feltz of Perryville, who died Tuesday, November 20th at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born September 4th, 1912 in Lithium, the son of Benjamin Harrison and Adeline Vessels Feltz.  They both preceded him in death.

He married Helen M. Nesslein on October 14th, 1940. She survives in Perryville.

The following children survive him:  Donald and Shirley Feltz of Fredericktown, Keith and Angela Feltz of Maryville, TN and Kevin and Jean Feltz of Columbia.

One brother, E.V. "Shorty" Feltz of Sereno and three sisters, Bernadine Hagan of St. Louis, Dolly Mae Welker of Perryville and Delores Dunker of Sereno also survive.

He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael, a brother, Ivan and three sisters, Bernice Hilderbrand, Mildred Wade and Stella Pingel.

He was a retired self-employed painter and a custodian at Bois Brule School District 32.  He was also a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno. He was the valedictorian of the PHS Class of 1931. He was also a past member of the Holy Name Society and past school board member of District 32.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday with a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. and 6:30-9:20 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 89-year-old Edgar Joseph Feltz of Perryville will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 23rd at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno with Reverend Francis Agnew, C.M. officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
