Gertrude H. Bey

A funeral was held Monday, October 8th, 2001 for 86-year-old Gertrude H. Bey of St. Louis, who died Friday, October 5th at her home.

She was born October 6th, 1914 in Perryville, the daughter of Dr. John Emil Bey and Marie Dorrenbach Bey who both preceded her in death.

One brother, Dr. S. Paul Bey of Perryville, and several nieces and nephews, survive her.

Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

She had been a child welfare worker with the St. Louis office of the Division of Family Services for 20 years before her retirement.

She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in St. Louis and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross during World War II.

There was no visitation.

A funeral mass for 86-year-old Gertrude H. Bey was held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 8th, 2001 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, CM, officiated.

The Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville handled the arrangements.
