A funeral will be held Thursday, October 25th, 2001 for 88-year-old Henry Fischer of Altenburg who died Tuesday, October 23rd at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.

He was born August 10th, 1913 in Altenburg, the son of Edward John and Eva (Kuennell) Fischer, who both preceded him in death.

He married Alice Vogel on September 14, 1939. She preceded him in death.

Many nieces and nephews survive him.

Eight brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.

He was the retired owner and operator of Fischer's Place in Altenburg.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and former member of the board of directors of the Bank of Altenburg.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 25th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.

A funeral for 88-year-old Henry Fischer of Altenburg will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 25th at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Altenburg. The Rev. Ronald Paseur will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
