A memorial mass will be held Saturday, September 8th, 2001 for 59-year-old Gary LeRoy Ernst of Perryville who died Monday, September 3rd at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 19, 1942 in Perryville, the son of the late Gilbert A. and Gladys M. (Moore) Ernst. His mother survives in Perryville.

Three sisters survive: Joyce Ernst of Perryville, Linda McDermott of Independence and Sandra Shetter of Cape Girardeau.

Nine nieces and nephews also survive him.

One brother, Eddie J. Ernst, also preceded him in death.

He was employed in information systems at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post No. 133 in Perryville.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 8th from 9-10 a.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

A memorial mass for 59-year-old Gary LeRoy Ernst of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 8th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent Parish Endowment, Masses, Garden of Hope Oncology Center or to the American Cancer Society.
