Daisy L. Garris

A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 2nd, 2002 for 87-year-old Daisy L. Garris of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Perryville who died Sunday, March 31st at the Heartland Care Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 6th, 1914, the daughter of James E. and Mary E. (Ellison) Roberts who both preceded her in death.

She married Steve Garris on June 29th, 1931. He preceded her in death.

One son and a daughter in law, Michael and Alice Garris of Perryville and two daughters and sons in law survive her, Frieda May and Bob Abernathy of Perryville and Anna Faye and Harold Noe of Jackson.

Thirteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren also survive.

A daughter, Winnie Bradley, two brothers Edgar and Cletus and two sisters, Marie Meier and Edith Weibrecht, also preceded her in death.

She was a housewife and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Perryville.

Visitation will be from 5-9 this (Monday, April 1st) evening and 6:30-10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2nd at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 87-year-old Daisy L. Garris of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Perryville, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2nd at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Crosstown. The Rev. Dennis Cebulak will officiate.
