Rosella L. Boxdorfer

A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 9th, 2002 for 89-year-old Rosella L. Boxdorfer of Crystal City, formerly of Perryville, who died today, Saturday, April 6th, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 22, 1912 in Berwick, Illinois, the daughter of Orville I. and Helena (Bense) Bell, who both preceded her in death.

She married Edwin W. Boxdorfer on January 5th, 1931. He preceded her in death.

One son, Roy Lee H. Boxdorfer of Festus, and one sister, Beulah Pass of Placerville, California, survive her.

Six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive.

She had worked in the laundry and housekeeping at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City and former member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

One son, Melvin, an infant son, Edwin Jr. and two brothers, John and Harley, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Monday, April 8th and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 89-year-old Rosella L. Boxdorfer of Crystal City, formerly of Perryville, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Craig Otto will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran building fund in Crystal City or Perryville.
