Helen L. Hayden A funeral will be held Thursday, April 11th, 2002 for 89-year-old Helen L. Hayden who died Monday, April 8th at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born March 8th, 1913 in St. Louis, the daughter of Bernard Cissell and Rosa Mary Coffman Cissell who both preceded her in death. She married J. Edward "Red" Hayden on November 22nd, 1932 in Brewer. He survives in Perryville. Four daughters, Marge Carron and Deloris Monier, both of Perryville; Jerry Wingerter of Chester, Illinois and Barbara LeCompte of St. Louis, also survive her. Two sons, Kenneth L. Hayden and Norman Hayden, both of Cape Girardeau, also survive her. Thirty grandchildren and 69 great grandchildren also survive her. She was employed at the International Shoe Company, was a member of the Ladies of Charity, Daughters of Isabella and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and enjoyed quilting, cards and golf. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 10th and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Thursday, April 11th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A Parish wake with the Daughters of Isabella will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Rosary will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11th for 89-year-old Helen L. Hayden at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Williams will officiate. Memorials may be sent to the St. Vincent de Paul School System.
