A funeral will be held Friday, April 19th, 2002 for 90-year-old Marie S. Bauwens who died Monday, April 15th at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born May 24th, 1911 in Perry County, the daughter of Robert Cissell and Emma Steinbecker Cissell who both preceded her in death.

She married Herman F. Bauwens on May 23rd, 1935 in Belgique. He preceded her in death.

Two sons, Wayne Bauwens of Perryville and Lee R. Bauwens of Tuscumbia, Alabama, survive her.

Eighteen grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren survive.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Allan A. Bauwens, a sister, Lillian Huber, and two brothers, Leo and Harvey Cissell.

She had been a seamstress and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality and Daughters of Isabella.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 18th 6:30-9:50 a.m. Friday, April 19th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake with the Daughters of Isabella and Ladies Sodality will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A funeral for 90-year-old Marie S. Bauwens will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Williams, C.M. will officiate.
