A funeral mass was held Monday, April 29th, 2002 for 73-year-old Homer D. Hayes of Perryville, who died Friday, April 26th at his residence.

He was born October 20th, 1928 in Black, MO, the son of Arthur and Laura Moses Hayes, who both preceded him in death.

He married Erma Riney on May 14th, 1955 in Lithium. She survives.

He is also survived by six brothers: Jimmie and Jackie, both of House Springs; Floyd of Edwardsville, IL; Olen of St. Mary; Heracel of Perryville and Euel of Poplar Bluff. One sister also survives: Fern Cheney of Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral mass for 73-year-old Homer D. Hayes of Perryville was held on Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M. officiating. Graveside military honors were provided by American Legion Post #133.
