Earl J. Brewer

Funeral service will be held Thursday for 67-year-old Earl J. Brewer of Perryville who died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002 at his home.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1935 in Perry County, the son of the late Edgar T. Brewer and Clorcie G. (Valleroy) Brewer.

He was married to Judith (Thompson) Brewer on April 27, 1961. She preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 1980.

One daughter and two sons survive, Tracie A. Brewer of Perryville; Scott P. Brewer of Chester, Ill.; and Jeff M. Brewer of Jefferson City.

Two sisters, Delores Buchheit and Wanda Berkbigler, both survive in Perryville.

Also survive are two grandchildren.

Three brothers preceded him in death.

Mr. Brewer had been a farmer and was an Army veteran.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, a member of the Holy Name Society, a member of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Sereno, and a member of the American Legion.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the Miller Family funeral Home. Parish wake service with the Knights of Columbus will be at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.

Funeral mass for Earl J. Brewer will be held Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Our lady of Victory Church in Sereno. Rev. Francis Agnew C.M. will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
