A funeral will be held Monday, December 30th, 2002 for 71-year-old Reverend Charles E. Drayton, who died Thursday, December 26th, 2002.

He married Betty J. Drayton. She survives.

He is also survived by the following children: Clem Drayton; Patricia and Jerry Kniepman; Michael and Sue Drayton; Ken and Carolyn Drayton; Diane and Terry Bogel; Ed and Roxie Drayton and Mark and Kris Drayton.

He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Ralph Handley.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ed; and a sister, Edna McCourt.

He was the former owner of Drayton Funeral Home in Perryville, Funeral Director at the Baue Funeral Home. He served as Deacon at Saints Joachim and Ann Church, Immaculate Conception Dardenne and St. Charles Borromeo St. Charles. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 9625 of Harvester.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, December 29th at the Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles.

A funeral mass for Rev. Charles E. Drayton will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 30th at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Memorials may be made to Masses or the Association of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville.
