Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002 for 93-year-old Gladys M. Ernst of Perryville who died Sunday, Feb. 17 at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born on November 9, 1908 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Ernest and Genevieve (Tucker) Moore.

She was married to Gilbert A. Ernst on June 9, 1922. He preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1968.

Three daughters survive, Linda McDermott of Independence; Sandy Schetter of Cape Girardeau; and Joyce Ernst of Perryville.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Two sons, Edwin, and Gary; seven brothers; and six sisters preceded him in death.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, former member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary in Perryville.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday Feb. 20 from 6:30-9:40 a.m. at Young and Sons chapel. Parish wake at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral Mass for Gladys M. Ernst will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Joe Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial preference is to the St. Vincent de Paul schools or Masses.
