A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 9th, 2002 for 87-year-old Irene J. Bohnert of Perryville, who died Monday, January 7th at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 14th, 1914 in Perryville the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Baudendistel) Gebhardt, who both preceded her in death.

She married Lloyd H. "Beck" Bohnert. He also preceded her in death.

She is survived two nephews and six nieces: Thelma Welland and Chalmer Weinkein, both of Perryville; Diana Kirn, Connie Davies and Rick Gebhardt, all of St. Louis; Margie Weinkein of St. Charles; Joanie Hayden of Houston, TX and Debbie Wooten of Raleigh, NC.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Barney Gebhardt; a sister, Marie Weinkein and a nephew, Clyde.

She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, St. Joseph Sodality in Highland and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8th from 4-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 9th from 6:30-9:40 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville. There will be a Catholic Wake at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

A funeral mass for 87-year-old Irene J. Bohnert of Perryville will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 9th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland with the Reverend Robert Brockland CM officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Church or School.
