John M. Hawthorn

A funeral will be held Sunday, June 16th, 2002 for 66-year-old John M. Hawthorn, who died Wednesday, June 12th at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born December 31st, 1935 in Ste. Genevieve County, the son of Charles Henry Hawthorn and Margrete Boyd Hawthorn, who both preceded him in death.

He married Norma Harris on September 7th, 1962 in Perryville. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by four step-daughters and a step-son: Lucille Burnette of Perryville; Joyce Signorelle of St. Louis; Wanda Weber of Crosby, TX, Linda Miller of Coffman and Norman Thompson of Coffman.

Two siblings survive: Joseph Henry Hawthorn of St. Louis and Clara Elizabeth Bloodworth of Coffman.

13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.

He was a laborer and dug graves for many years.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, June 15th and from 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 66-year-old John M. Hawthorn will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 16th at the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Haney Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County. Reverend Raymond Moore will officiate.
