A funeral will be held Tuesday, June 25th, 2002 for 89-year-old Flavian B. Ernst of Perryville who died Saturday, June 22nd at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born April 14th, 1913 in Biehle, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Wingerter) Ernst who both preceded him in death.

He married Cleora Sutterer on January 19th, 1936. She survives in Perryville.

He is also survived by four sons and daughters in law and one daughter and son in law: Denis and Barbara M. Ernst, Cynthia and Larry Stearns, Michael and Karen Ernst, Richard and Barbara K. Ernst and Robert "Bob" Ernst, all of Perryville.

Fifteen grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren also survive.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Arnold, Joseph, Othmar, and Robert and three sisters, Louisa Schloss, Ida Moll and Irma Biehle.

He was the owner and operator of Service Station and Repair in McBride.

He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.

Visitation will be this (Monday, June 24th) evening from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 25th from 6:30-9:20 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m. this (Monday) evening at the funeral home.

A funeral for 89-year-old Flavian B. Ernst of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25th at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Francis Agnew, C.M., will officiate.
