William A. "Bill" Buerck

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2002 for 83-year-old William A. "Bill" Buerck of Perryville who died Wednesday, March 20 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on March 30, 1918 in Perry County, Missouri, the son of the late William and Amelia (Wingerter) Buerck.

He was married to Lela R. Buchheit on Oct. 1, 1949. She survives in Perryville.

Two daughters survive, Judy M. Gibbar, and Ginny A. Moll, both of Perryville.

Two sisters survive, Launita Hostkoetter of St. Charles, and Josephine Hunt of Greenville, S.C.

Also surviving are six grandchildren.

Five sisters and six brothers preceded him in death.

Mr. Buerck was a mechanic for Sabreliner Aircraft Corporation until his retirement. He was a WWII Airforce Veteran. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, American Legion, and AMVETS.

Visitation will be Friday, March 22 from 4-9 p.m. at the Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish Wake Service will be at 7 p.m., and AMVETS service will be at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be on Saturday, March 23 from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral mass for William A. "Bill" Buerck will be held Saturday, March 23, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Joe Williams, C.M. will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Military honors courtesy of the American Legion Post 133.

The family requests memorials be sent to St. Vincent school system or the American Heart Association.
