A funeral was held this morning, Monday, November 4th, 2002 for 103-year-old Esther J. Doering of Wittenburg, who died Friday, November 1st at her residence.

She was born February 5th, 1899 in Old Appleton, the daughter of Gottfried and Ida (Landgraff) Mueller who both preceded her in death.

She married Ernst George Doering on February 27th, 1927. He preceded her in death.

One son, Herb Doering, and one daughter, Edna Doering, both of Frohna, survive her.

One brother, Herbert Mueller of Mehlville and one sister, Frieda Loebs of Florrisant, also survive her.

She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Martha (Telle) Mueller, an infant daughter and three sisters, Dora Kassel, Linna Roth and Bertha Roth, an infant sister, Marie, and a brother, Walter Mueller.

She was a homemaker and member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

A funeral for 103-year-old Esther J. Doering of Wittenberg was held this morning at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg. The Rev. Ronald Paseur officiated.
