Norma A. Brinkman A funeral will be held Thursday, November 21st, 2002 for 78-year-old Norma A. Brinkman of Cape Girardeau, who died Tuesday, November 19th, 2002 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 12th, 1924 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Henry and Louise (Moore) Voelker. She married Vernon "Jack" Brinkman on September 17th, 1943. He survives. Other survivors include two sons and a daughter: John Brinkman of Jackson, Craig Brinkman of Sikeston and Brenda Crain of Jackson. A brother, Chalmer Voelker, of Perryville survives as do six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a Retail Sales Clerk at Cooper Men's Wear. She was also a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and Cape Girardeau. Visitation will be from 10-11:15 a.m. Thursday, November 21st at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A funeral service for Norma Brinkman will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, November 21st, 2002 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M. officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
