Lloyd Valle Farrar A funeral will be held Thursday, October 10th, 2002 for 74-year-old Lloyd Valle Farrar of Longtown, who died Monday, October 7th at his residence. He was born November 7th, 1927 in Perry County, the son of Valle and Mary (Farrar) Farrar, who both preceded him in death. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Buchheit on September 10th, 1949. She survives in Longtown. He is also survived by two daughters and a son in law: Sharee and Gene Galnore of Jackson and Pam Farrar of Uniontown. He is also survived by five sisters: Geraldine Leible of Brazeau, Evelyn Sherrill of Brazeau, Verna Weisbrod of Brazeau, Ivalene Rhyne of Crosstown and Jewell Collins of Perryville. One brother survives, Donald Farrar of Ames, Iowa. Two granddaughters and four great grandchildren also survive him. He was also preceded in death by one son, Mark, a brother, Richard, and a sister, Margie Grantham. He was employed at Procter and Gamble. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, Holy Name Society, and was a 1946 graduate of Perryville High School. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, October 9th and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, October 10th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A funeral for 74-year-old Lloyd Valle Farrar of Longtown will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 10th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz, C.M. will officiate. Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice, the American Cancer Society or to the St. Vincent parish.
