A funeral will be held Friday, October 18th, 2002 for 81-year-old Vernon J. Brown of Perryville who died Sunday, October 14th at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born September 12th, 1921 in Perry County, the son of Louis Brown and Genevieve Friedman Brown who both preceded him in death.

He is survived by two brothers, Eugene of Perryville and Louis of St. Louis. He is also survived by two sisters, Aurelia Mattingly of Brewer and Jeanette Maxfield of Denver, Colorado.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

He was a farmer.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday, October 17th and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Friday, October 18th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 81-year-old Vernon J. Brown of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 18th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate.
