A funeral was held Monday, September 23rd, 2002 for 82-year-old Frances Verline Besand of Perryville who died Friday, September 20th, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born December 11, 1919 in Perry County, the daughter of John Miederhoff and Mary Basler Miederhoff who both preceded her in death.

She married J. Leo Pecaut in 1939. He preceded her in death.

She married Elvis Besand in 1955. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Darryl and Thomas Pecaut and Roger Besand, all of Perryville.

She is also survived by one daughter and son in law, Louise and Rick Wibbenmeyer of St. Louis.

Two brothers survive, Leo Miederhoff of Perryville and Edgar Miederhoff of Springfield.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Odeal Richardet.

She had worked at the International Shoe Company and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Ladies of Charity.

A funeral for 82-year-old Frances Verline Besand of Perryville was held at 10 a.m. today, Monday, September 23rd, at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin P. Fausz C.M. officiated.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul School Endowment Fund.

Funeral arrangements were by the Miller Family Funeral Home.
