Ruth N. Badger Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 for 71-year-old Ruth N. Badger of Perryville, who died Thursday, September 26th, 2002 at Perry Oaks Manor. She was born on October 15th, 1930 in Millheim, the daughter of Edward and Annie (Bangert) Weiss, who both preceded her in death. She married Virdell James on February 28th, 1947. He also preceded her in death. She married Jack Badger on May 30th, 1970. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons and a daughter: Ivan and Michael James, both of Marble Hill and Cheryl Goodman of Murfreesboro, TN. Also surviving are six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Weiss, a sister, Mae Weinkein and an infant sister. She was a Tour Service Operator with Badger Tour Service in St. Louis and a member of St. John’s Seniors and Friendly Neighbors in St. Louis, Whitecliff Seniors and Mehlville Seniors. Visitation for Ruth N. Badger will be Friday, September 27 from 5-8:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 28th from 6:30-until the time of the service at 9:30 a.m. at Young and Sons Funeral Home. She will then be taken to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in St. Louis for visitation from Noon until 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Waterloo Cemetery in Waterloo, IL with Reverend William Harmon officiating. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
