Gertrude R. Fronkahl Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 for 92-year-old Gertrude R. Fornkahl of Perryville who died Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Perry Oaks Manor. She was born on March 27, 1911 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Gttlif and Lydia (Jacob) Hecht. She was married to Henry C. Fornkahl on June 28, 1936. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2000. Surviving are one son and one daughter-in-law, Gerald and Karen Fornkahl of St. Charles; one daughter and son-in-law, Gerlene and Paul Webb of Fenton; and one son-in-law, Ray R. Schilling of Sheller, Ill. Also surviving are seven greanchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Virginia Schilling; one brother, Walter Hecht; and five sisters, Flora Engert, Hattie Schuessler, Esther Hecht, Clara Hecht and Ida Burroughs, preceded her in death. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown and Ladies Aid in Friedenberg. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 2 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Funeral service for Gertrude R. Fornkahl will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Young and Sons chapel. Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown. Memorial preference is to Zion Lutheran church or Lutheran Hour. |
